Self Catering Holiday Homes
Most (but not all) of the villas and apartments have access to a communal or private pool, if it is not mentioned, please check before you book. The peak times (July, August, Easter and Christmas) are always the busiest, so you would be wise to book early. Large (3, 4, or 5 bedroom) villas are the same, especially with a private pool, so we recommend you do not leave it until the last minute. Golf rentals, tend to be busier in the spring and autumn, in the heat of the summer and mid winter, they are much quieter. Bargains and deals can quite often be struck with the owners for last minute breaks, so why not ask.

Spain is one of the biggest in land area of the European Union countries (just under two hundred thousand square miles) with a resident population of approximately forty seven million people. Spain has a long coast fronting the western Mediterranean Sea and is bordered on the other side by Portugal on what is know as the Iberian peninsular with a northern frontier formed by the Pyrenees and France. With such a vast land mass the weather and climate can and often vary hugely in the summer or winter with both extremes of temperatures either high or low, but as a general guide the winters are usualy quite mild and the summers long and hot, compared to the climes found in the UK. Fashionable as a holiday destination since the early sixties the tourist industry is generally a major employer to the Spanish population predominantly those along the eastern coastline where many big resorts have sprung up to rival the old towns and cities that used to rely heavily on the fishing and agriculture trades. Subject to on the coastal district visited the landscape will obviously change quite dramatically from towering cliffs and quaint coves to coastal plains encountering the sea with long sand dunes, thronging beaches lined with restaurants and bars to tranquil areas of where you can delight the peace and vistas on your own.
The fashionableness of buying a property in Spain really soared in the early nineties with northern Europeans taking advantage of good exchange rates, bought their own house in the sun for long holidays away from the cold of their home countries. In the last decade they were surplanted by the new rich from the old east European countries especially the Russians who now produce a good sized minority of new sales. The booming nineties (fed by the cheap flights of the rising budget airlines) led to the development of apartments, townhouses and villas on a vast scale, that were altered forever with some districts concreted over to sate the ostensibly never ceasing demand for a stake in the real estate market, every possible design, variety and size of dwelling was being constructed on speculation and sold from designs before a brick was laid, mercifully those years appear to be behind us, but the consequence is now a huge resevoir of Spanish property awaiting a buyer. The most trendy regions for owning or renting is contested between the Costa Blanca and the ever popular Costa del Sol, all the other coastlines have a smaller proportion, though the Spanish isles mostly avoided the vast developments, but there are still lots of opportunities to be had in either the Balearic (Mallorca, Menorca or Ibiza) and the Canary (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura) but Spanish villas incline to be a little bit more expensive to rent or buy compared with the mainland costas.
Taken as a whole, I'm certain you will find every amenity that you could possibly need, with first class hotels, holiday villas and apartments for self catering breaks, tourist attractions to keep all the family content, historic towns, sports, sailing, cheap car hire (mostly from the major rental companie at the various airports), a vast selection of restaurants for eating out, serving every type of cuisine, bars, clubs and discos for the youngsters, and swimming pools over every shape and size to laze away the days relaxing in the warm sunshine.
