THE HOUSE
Our house is a solid stone build and benefits from four floors (approx 350sq mtrs). A large, dry cellar that used to be a donkey stable, lots of room for storage or a wine cellar? Ideal for a large family or possibly making one floor in to a separate apartment.
The ground floor has a large cloakroom with steps leading to the kitchen. One step up leads into a large L shape room which serves as a winter living room, with working chimney, and can change its use into a summer bedroom or guest room.
The second floor accommodation has two huge bedrooms (one bedroom is ensuite with large wet shower), another,separate, bathroom, all running off a central staircase.
The third floor accommodation offers a huge space with beamed high ceiling, currently used as summer living room (could easily be another 2 beds with en-suite) and leads on to a large terrace with outhouse and summer kitchen. The terrace has fantastic views of the countryside.
We have done all the hard work for you and WATER, ELECTRIC, PHONE AND BROADBAND INTERNET ARE ALL CONNECTED.
LOCATION
This is a typically Spanish village with its origin from the Moor era, situated on the Aitana Mountain, 20 minute drive from Alcoy and 45 minute drive to the Mediterranean coast with Benidorm, Altea, Albir being the nearest. A perfect location to enjoy the sea and mountains.
The village is set at the basement of rolling hills and mountains and boasts stone architecture and interesting medieval centre formed by the Marquis of Malferit palace (15th century).
The Spanish way of life has been relatively unspolt by the coastal property boom. Dedication to agriculture is still inevidence, and the locals have kept their traditional way of life and culinary skills.
THE VILLAGE
This is a gem of a location, surround by its forests of almond trees, olive trees, pines, oaks and a multicoloured range of wild plants that flood the air with aromas of lavender, rosemary, thyme. You can hear the sound of running water from the mountain streams which invite you to participate in all the activities associated with the mountains: climbing, trekking, walking. The village boasts a huge pool for everyone's use in the summer.
You will find yourself surrounded by a traditional and very hospitable people, secure for children and pets, enjoying the pure mountain air and its pure water
